He needs to be removed for Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors. Donald J. Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA) on Monday introduced a War Powers Resolution that would require a debate and a vote in Congress before the US enters Israel’s war against Iran with offensive support.

“It is not in our national security interest to get into a war with Iran unless that war is absolutely necessary to defend the United States. I am deeply concerned that the recent escalation of hostilities between Israel and Iran could quickly pull the United States into another endless conflict,” Kaine said.

“The American people have no interest in sending servicemembers to fight another forever war in the Middle East. This resolution will ensure that if we decide to place our nation’s men and women in uniform into harm’s way, we will have a debate and vote on it in Congress,” the Virginia senator added.

War Powers resolutions are privileged, meaning Kaine’s bill will force the Senate to consider and vote on the measure quickly. Contact your senator and urge them to support Kaine’s legislation. If you’re a resident of Virginia, contact Kaine and thank him for his efforts to prevent the US from entering a war with Iran.

Kaine’s resolution comes amid signs that the US may enter the war by launching airstrikes on Iran, which could provoke Iranian missile attacks on US bases across the region and result in significant US casualties.

A similar effort will be launched in the House, as Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) announced that he would be introducing his own resolution on Tuesday. “This is not our war. But if it were, Congress must decide such matters according to our Constitution,” Massie wrote on X. “I’m introducing a bipartisan War Powers Resolution tomorrow to prohibit our involvement. I invite all members of Congress to cosponsor this resolution.”

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has also been strongly critical of the US support for Israel’s war. “Anyone slobbering for the U.S. to become fully involved in the Israel/Iran war is not America First/MAGA,” she wrote on X on Sunday. “Wishing for murder of innocent people is disgusting. We are sick and tired of foreign wars. All of them.”

“The Constitution does not permit the executive branch to unilaterally commit an act of war against a sovereign nation that hasn’t attacked the United States,” said Rep. Massie. “Congress has the sole power to declare war against Iran. The ongoing war between Israel and Iran is not our war. American voters support a permanent ceasefire and de-escalation of violence in Gaza, according to a poll reported on December 5th. The data collected indicates that people of the USA want to prioritize diplomatic and humanitarian efforts. In spite of the clear backing by Americans to end the violence and lead diplomatic efforts for peace in Israel and Gaza, the U.S. was the only nation to veto an immediate humanitarian cease fire resolution at the UN yesterday, in a vote of 13-1, with the UK abstaining.

Crimes are crimes no matter what “side” commits them.

Let us not be fooled by those seeking to profit from premeditated murder and destruction. War is not the solution. The tragic events between Hamas and Israel are a wakeup call for the general public to demand a cease fire and begin the process of diplomatic negotiations.

October 30, 2023 | Violence is the enemy.

As members from both sides of the aisle in Congress prepare to provide more funding for violent warfare, thousands in the USA and around the world are calling for an immediate cease fire and peace for the people in Israel and Gaza.

This past weekend at Grand Central Station in New York City, Jewish Voice for Peace led thousands in a sit-in of people from wide ranging backgrounds including elected officials, students, rabbis and academics. According to reports, 400 were arrested in one of NYC’s largest demonstrations of civil disobedience in over two decades.

We stand in a defining moment, as the world watches in horror as DC politicians continue to fund and support policies of genocide and mass destruction not only in the Middle East, but also in Ukraine. ENOUGH!

October 9, 2023 | Violence is the real problem, not a solution. What’s needed is a cease fire and immediate diplomatic efforts to bring an end to the conflict.

Added to the colossal intelligence failure of Israel to defend against ‘surprise’ attacks this past weekend are reports that Egyptian intelligence agencies repeatedly warned against “something big” being planned.

Similar to the attacks on September 11th, the events are quickly being used as justification for escalation of violence and agendas without any investigation and prosecution of those who are alleged to have committed the crimes.

From The Times of Israel: “Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari, the chief military spokesman, acknowledged the army owes the public an explanation. But he said now is not the time. “First, we fight, then we investigate,” he said.

Prime Minister Netanyahu’s widely unpopular attempt overhaul the judiciary, fallout from the forced CV19 “vaccination” operations in both Israel and Palestine, and decades of instability in the region are matters that may be shifted out of public view in favor of more war.

In his recent article, Brandon Turbeville sums up the situation and the need to stop escalation of the conflict:

“The current Israeli war is already spilling across borders but, if it is not contained immediately, will risk bringing in Lebanon, Hezbollah, Iran, Syria, Egypt, the United States, NATO, and Russia as well as the gangs and hordes of Islamic fundamentalist terrorists the West and GCC have sponsored across the Middle East.

Western powers must stay out of the Israeli/Hamas war. Both the United States and Russia (though it will likely only become involved as a result of US involvement) must show the utmost restraint in this regard. The world cannot afford to allow this war to become the graveyard of humanity.”

Predictably, the U.S. is sending weapons to Israel, consistent with the endless war policy.
