Protecting personal data is a positive development that is absolutely necessary to maintaining fundamental freedoms by preventing governments, corporations, and AI from gaining access to private information.
Tragically, schools in West Virginia are expanding facial recognition technology under the guise of protecting students. Biometric technology is a money maker and also a mechanism to install a permanent digital prison.
